Prise en compte de la variabilité dans le calcul de structures avec contact

Abstract : The aim of this work is to take into account variabilities and random phenomena on complex nonlinear structure computation. We first discuss on the important families of uncertain parameters and the different ways of getting statistical informations upon them. Then we have listed many studies dealing with the formulation of powerful techniques adapted to solve random problems, with a particular focus on “non intrusive” methods. Our tests on contact problems using these “non intrusive” methods have shown that results can badly represent the solution if not enough care is given to the control of computations. That leads us to the necessity of building an error estimator for stochastic problems in order to quantify the model quality. To go forward, we also defined two specific error indicators in order to identify the contribution of the error due to the stochastic approximation and the contribution due to the geometric approximation. At last, these specific indicators have been used to build an adaptive method dedicated to stochastic studies. This method have been tested on a complex problem proposed by SNECMA.
