Transparence et absorption acoustiques des structures microperforées

Abstract : The basic theory of the microperfored thin plates (MPP) is presented and compared to measurements. Based on this theory an analytical acoustical model of a basic infinite size is developed: a MPP coupled via an air cavity to a flexible plate. We study the influence which the addition of a MPP produces on the system acoustics. The comparison with measurements of transmissibility and absorption made in a diffuse field has validated the model. The model is then expanded to more complex systems allowing the optimization of acoustic performance. To enlarge the scope of modelling, restricted so far to thin MPP's only, an approach is investigated based on the resolution of the Kirchhoff's equations for very narrow tubes. Model corrections necessary to the generalization of the microperfored structures are presented. A comparison with the basic model for the thin plates is done allowing the discussion of this general model. Finally approximations to our model are made, applicable to thin MPP.
