La dimension intersensorielle dans la pratique de l 'espace urbain : une approche méthodologiquepluridisciplinaire

Abstract : The city is a sensitive area, including built by architects and planners. They shape the space only using a sensory modality for their work : the visual modality. But our perception of space is not only based on this modality but on interactions between all senses. Our perception is an intersensory perception. The objective of this research is to understand intersensory perceptions located in urban areas and understand the basis of their articulation. Two approaches have been developed to understand the nature of intersensory perceptions: 1 / scientific work has been read, and 2 / an experimental approach to find perceptions intersensory on an urban site, was developed and tested. This method uses records of user perceptions, observations and physical measurements "in situ". This research contributes to the definition of the concept of urban public space from its sensitive components and developing a scheme of intelligibility of urban environments based on perceptions located.
