Pour cette raison, nous ne suivons pas le devenir d'un agent, mais celui d'un assemblage d'ingrédients. Ainsi nous pouvons décrire un assemblage d'ingrédient évoluant dans le temps, un assemblage couplé au passé du processus. Nous nommons cet assemblage un véhicule. Or, c'est ce véhicule qui est le sujet du processus MEMORY : c'est bien ce véhicule qui est à la source de l'activité collective de raisonnement, c'est lui qui "vit" le processus MEORY. Le processus est donc bien à tout moment "possédé" vécu par des "agents", même si ce véhicule évolue dans le temps. Le processus MEMORY conserve son identité
