La Robustesse : Une nouvelle approche pour l'intégration des systèmes de génération aéronautique

Abstract : The integration of power electronics devices in a DC power system can lead the system to instability. In this thesis, the following issue is studied : how the generator shoud be designed to avoid dynamic instabilities of the DC voltage, while minimizing weight ? It is first shown that the subsystem integration issue is strongly linked with the robutness of the equipments design towards their operating environment. Then, a new methodology for the equipments design is proposed, using robutness as an indicator of the "integration capability"of a device in the DC power system. We especially wondered how a robust dynamic control of the generator can help in integrating the subsystem at a minimal weight. This methodology has finally been applied to three structures for the generation in future aircrafts (an Auto Transformer Rectifier Unit - ATRU, a 6-phase diode rectifier unit and a full-wave controlled rectifier).
