Transformations urbaines et variations du microclimat : application au centre ancien de Nantes et proposition d'un indicateur "morpho-climatique"

Abstract : This work develops two main investigations : the first one concerns the analysis of historical knowhow and transformations since the first periods of the “healthiness town planning”; and the second quantifies the evolution of physical parameters of urban microclimate. They are applied to the specific case of historical centre of Nantes. Historical reconstitutions of the city have been carried out and five representative situations have been defined between the end of the XVIIth century and the middle of the XXth one. Several climatological simulations have been done with the TEB model, developed by the CNRM of Toulouse. The study of interaction between urban form and physical factors has enabled to build a morpho-climatic indicator based on “directional opening analyses”. The indicator enables a relevant characterisation of urban empty spaces (streets, places, urban fabrics) and of their associated microclimate (solar access, sky view, wind exposition) relatively consistent with the results obtained with the tools of the CERMA laboratory.
