Les Facteurs Explicatifs De La Consommation Ostentatoire Des Produits De Luxe - Le Cas Du Liban

Abstract : In the present research we examine factors that appear to be related to the prowess to conspicuously consume. After defining the conspicuous consumption construct we have conducted in-depth interviews in Lebanon in order to discover influences on this kind of consumption. Our study especially focuses on the influence of religion on the choices of products with varying degrees of conspicuousness. The results provide a number of theoretical and managerial implications and suggest new avenues for future research.
