La Chambre de Commerce de Paris, 1803-1852. Un « corps consultatif » entre représentation et information économiques

Abstract : Neither a voluntary association, nor an integral part of the administration, the Chamber of Commerce appears as a "medium body" between economic actors and the administration. This study deals with its members, activities and insertion in a broader system of economic regulation, with a special emphasis on questions of representation of interests, debates on restoring the guilds, and economic information, including industrial statistics.
