Morphodynamique des ambiances construites

Abstract : This search is based on the field of architectural and urban environments (called "ambiances" in French). It proposes to test morphodynamic models. These models generate representations of multi-sensorial perceptible phenomena by numeric synthesis. A confrontation with the in situ observations of these phenomena and the sound and visual representations resulting from the synthesis is therefor possible. The numeric experimentation ensures a return to the observation and the categorization of sensible phenomena. The physical model can be used as a tool for the rebuilding of effects and consequently for the assistance to the design. Two examples, which emerge in a recurring way in the urban public space, are developed : the dynamics of pedestrian behaviors and the sound effects. By basing on the concepts of experience, process and relation, we can see how it is possible to pass from a system of thoughts concerning the form to another concerning the movement. This search is a collaboration between CRESSON [Research center on sound space and urban environment] and ACROE [Association for creation and research on expression tools].
