Outils de communication électronique et disciplines scolaires : quelle(s) rationalité(s) d'usage ? Le cas de trois disciplines du second degré : la technologie au collège, l'économie-gestion et les sciences économiques et sociales au lycée.

Abstract : Since 1994, the French Internet's development policy in the field of education has deliberately been aimed at encouraging the actors of the school system to communicate with new tools (mailing lists, ministerial, academic or personal web sites).
Even if the opportunities offered by such tools to constitute what we call "school subject networks", have actually been seized by the actors, have they really been able to create true pedagogical networks ? (J. Perriault, 1986).
This study's first aim is to make the emerging process of such networks more explicit by using the theoretical framework of the sociology of translation ; the co-operative media theories, stemming from the sociology of collective action have inspired our analysis of the rationality of the active members of these networks.
We have selected three different school subjects : technology, "economics and social sciences" and "economics and management". In order to study the emergence of the school subject networks, we have based our study on speech analysis of the actors who were implied (articles, web sites, reports). As for their subscription and participation to the mailing lists, we have analyzed the exchanges over a period of one school year 1999-2000, we also carried out an email enquiry that we sent to the subscribers, as well as to the teachers who have created their own personal web sites or who are in charge of the academic web sites.
This approach has enabled us to characterize the school subject networks and to place them in the context of the pedagogical networks.
