Caractérisation physique et cinématique de la population d'étoiles actives en rayons X au voisinage solaire

Abstract : This thesis work presents the physical and kinematical characterization of X-ray active and presumed young stars in the solar neighborhood which are optical (Tycho catalog) counterparts of ROSAT All-Sky Survey X-ray sources.

During our program of spectroscopic observations at high resolution, more than 800 late-type stars were observed and a total of more than 1600 spectra has been obtained. The majority of the stellar parameters was derived from these spectra using synthetic spectra and cross-correlation method. This sample consists mainly of stars younger than one billion years and contains a high fraction of spectroscopic multiple systems. New members of well-known moving groups and 5 very good post-T Tauri candidates were discovered during the kinematics analysis with our two probabilistic methods. A new concentration of young stars (similar to the association TW Hydra) was detected and these stars have an age of 50 - 100 Myr and are located in the northern hemisphere. Contrary to usual assumptions, the contamination by evolved stars is not negligible. Modeling of their contribution in the Besançon stellar X-ray population model reproduced quite well the orders of magnitude observed.

Thereafter, the study will enable a better understanding of the recent history of star formation in the nearby solar environment.
