Abstract : This text presents a synthesis of research works I carried out, about two very different fields:
- the beginning of university, in particular the difficulties raised by the teaching of linear algebra at the beginning of university;
- the use of online resources for the teaching and learning of mathematics at all levels, from primary school to university, e-exercises bases in particular.
The first chapter displays how different theoretical perspectives offer different points of view on novice university students' difficulties, identify different possible origins for these difficulties, and suggest different means of didactical action; I mainly focus on research about linear algebra.
The second chapter concerns online resources. I investigated several types of issues related with such resources: didactical analysis of the resources; analysis of the consequences of the use of resources on teaching and learning processes. Two complementary theoretical frames intervene in these studies: the didactical contract, and the instrumental approach. The focus on the teacher's activity led me to enlarge my investigation, in order to encompass all kinds of resources likely to intervene in this activity, and eventually to contribute to the development of a new theoretical approach, introducing in particular the notion of documentational geneses.
I finally present in the third chapter research perspectives, entailing prominent issues linked with documentational geneses.
