Géométrie Numérique

Abstract : Polygon mesh is a widely used representation to encode 3D shapes in a computer, since this is a versatile representation that is compatible with 3D acquisition processes. In the frame of this habilitation thesis,
we propose to study various ways of discretizing partial derivative equations on these meshes, and we propose applications to texture mapping, to converting meshes into Splines, to scientific visualization and to light simulation.
