Caractérisation et Réduction des Anomalies de Mesure dans les Capteurs de Courant Différentiel

Abstract : Current transformers used in residual current circuit breakers are subject to false residual current. Created by geometrical or magnetic asymmetries in the core, these currents can lead to unwanted tripping of the associated relay. This thesis studies the origins (secondary winding anomalies, core magnetic tape endings... ) and the consequences (sensitivity loss, false current surge) of these phenomena.
A consequent work around finite element modeling of the false currents was conducted, including the precise simulation of primary conductor eccentricity and its influences. Moreover, specific tools were developed, particularly an anisotropic bulk core model, allowing simple and fast modeling of the current sensors wound magnetic cores.
