Abstract : Economic aspects and passengers security make that Fault Diagnostic is a critical problem in Aeronautics. In Aeronautics engines and complementary equipments as regulators, actuators, sensors,& are the most important elements to maintain the aircraft in flight. A preliminary study, based on maintenance data, has shown that hydraulic actuators and lubrication system are among the most critical components. The hydraulic system purpose is to adapt the geometry of the engine to the particular situation with respect to the power demand during each flight phase. This system is composed by several actuators in the fuel system as the carburant is the liquid that actuates on them. .VSV actuator (Variable Stator Valve) within its regulation loop is one of the objects of this study; it modifies the geometry of the high pressure turbine that must yield an optimal power, especially at taking off and landing. Those actuators are normally installed by the company Hispano-Suiza (Groupe Safran) in turbines CFM56-7. Another point of interest is the oil circuit for lubrication, this subsystem is critical because of the multiple rotation speeds of the engine, that induce great variations in the level in the reservoir. Diagnosis of the system is the main objective of our work, nevertheless as a complement, prognostic is also proposed whenever maintenance takes an important place for the full life of the system. In aeronautic engines, periodic maintenance is fundamental, and its schedule is commonly applied. The second objective of our study is to coordinate fault detection with prognostic, in order to propose an adaptive maintenance schedule for aircraft engines. The first part of this thesis deals with the theoretical basis of the tools in data analysis and system modelization; in the second part the two subsystems chosen are described, and the application of the tools are applied to improve the reliability and the maintenance as proposed in the framework of TATEM p roject.
