Une contribution aux systèmes supports de Formation Médicale Continue à distance et d'apprentissage entre pairs : conception et expérimentation du forum DIACOM (Discussions Interactives à bAse de Cas pour la fOrmation Médicale)

Abstract : This thesis is dedicated to the study and the design of a system supporting « between peers » learning for Continuing Medical Education, based on discussions between physicians-learners related to clinical cases. Thus, in the DIACOM system (DIACOM means : interactive case based discussions for medical training), physicians have to describe distantly clinical cases related to their own experience. A pairing of cases illustrating major discordance is then processed. Finally, the system incites authors of paired cases to discuss each other, distantly and asynchronously, what is the base of the DIACOM “forum” name. The DIACOM forum has been experimented for learning in pediatric pain management. A generic model of cases (independent from the domain) and a specific model of pairing management (dependant from the domain) have been elaborated. These models have been designed through an expertise collection managed with a pediatrician, specialized in the domain.
