Conception et étude d'un générateur et d'un corrélateur de triplets de photons basés sur KTiOPO4 et TiO2

Abstract : This work deals with third-order nonlinear frequency conversion interactions. These processes involve four photons, which can be generated or consumed in the nonlinear media. The production of photon triples by the splitting of a photon of bigger energy is the most interesting process, because of the specific quantum properties of the three generated photons. They are in a new state of light which has not be observed yet. The motivations are theoretical but also pratical, with some applications in quantum cryptography. This work proposes the achievement of a performant photon triples generator, which has led to the first experimental validation of our model describing third-order nonlinear interactions. This generator has opened the door to the design of a correlator to study the specific quantum properties of photon triples. Finally, the titanium dioxyde has shown good properties to realize efficient third-order nonlinear interactions.
