Modélisation morpho-fonctionnelle des réseaux d'assainissement urbain à l'aide du concept de dimension fractale

Abstract : Urban storm sewer systems are functional systems (rainfall collection and drainage) which are structured with evolutive networks. The modelling of the rainfall-discharge relationship does not considered the morphological aspect when networks are taken as a whole, In order to do away and to reach a real cognitive level, we propose a structural model compatible with the hydrological activity, The conceived model is based on the fractal dimension theory and particularly the self similarity dimension. All a local community network is able to be decomposed into elementary networks quantified with two principals parameters: the statistical self similarity dimension and a state parameter, This last is a fractionnary number when the structure is not a complete form in relation to the theoretical model.
The formalization of the hydrological model is based on a particularly relation between the distance from the outlet to the extrema points of a truncated network and its total length which depends on the fractal dimension. A convolution of two distributions successively relatives to the area and to the network is the model of the rainfall-discharge relationship.
