Outils théoriques pour la gravitation expérimentale et applications aux interféromètres et cavités à ondes de matière.

Abstract : The experimental gravitation has experienced dramatic developments over the past twenty years thanks in part to the development of atomic physics. With the help of advanced cooling techniques, it is possible to exploit the wave behavior of matter. Atom interferometry has become a method for building clocks and inertial sensors among the most accurate and Bose-Einstein condensation allows the observation of macroscopic quantum phenomena. In this thesis, we explore some possible applications of matter wave experiments to probe the gravitation in the weak field approximation. In the first part, we develop generic tools for theoretical description of general relativity experiments. We apply them in the second part: we calculate the sensitivity of matter wave interferometers to Lense-Thirring, then to the gravitational waves, and we compare them to laser interferometers. Finally we calculate the transition probability of a matter wave cavity in interaction with a gravitational wave.
