Localisation d'énergie dans les protéines

Abstract : In order to show the energy localization process in proteins, we have developped a model based on non-linear Physics concepts. We have used an FPU potential with damping on the surface, which enables the birth of chaotic breathers in some enzymes. These breathers have an important length life, compared to system caracteristic time scales. They are localized on a single residue, and are always positioned in a rigid region
of the protein. We could then establish a possible link between the catalytic function, structural local properties of enzymes and energy localizations. More precisely, the chaotic breather activation during enzymatic reaction in catalytic sites could allow for the protein to stock energy during long times.
