Décomposition topologiques des outillages de forge pour la Génération de trajectoires UGV

Abstract : Machining preparation of freeform parts induced unproductive times on HSM machine-tools. These unproductive times are related on the lacks of preparation methodologies and weak knowledge of preparer about HSM. The competitiveness of HSM process thus passes by a reduction of the preparation time in order to be able to respect the machining period quickly. This work relates to the machining preparation of forging dies. The contribution results mainly in the development of an original method of die CAD geometry transfer to a CAM model associated to HSM process of this die. The method for the topological decomposition of CAD geometry based on the respect of cutting speed and the limitation of the workpiece approaches & exits. Maps for the assistance to the preparer were developed to carry out this decomposition. A graphic representation, called relationships topological graph, makes it possible to collect the information obtained from the decomposition and to represent the topological relationships between the various machining features obtained by the topological decomposition. Topological relationships model is built from the machining difficulties: surfaces accessibility and the feed rate loss. The method for machining process generation of the forging die is based on the topological analysis of the geometry associated to standard machining sequences. An assistance tool, called performance viewer, makes it possible to analyze the feed rate loss and the number of workpiece approaches & exits. Finally, the numerical implementations of the assistance tools for the preparer are detailed. In order to illustrate the topological decomposition of the CAD model and the HSM process generation for forging dies.
