Proposition d'une nouvelle méthode d'accès déterministe pour un réseau personnel sans fil à fortes contraintes temporelles

Abstract : Today, wireless network technologies (WLAN/WPAN) available on the market are numerous and complementary. Nevertheless, none of these technologies present some real guaranties on message delivery within a bounded delay. However, this kind of constraint is a recurrent need in the industrial communication application context. To solve this problem, our research work proposes an original full deterministic MAC layer for an IEEE 802.15.4 Low-Power Wireless Personal Area Network.
We first present a state of the art on principal wireless network standards and technologies, Quality of Service protocols and commonly used Medium Access Control mechanisms. Then, we present the IEEE 802.15.4/ZigBee wireless technology which is used as a basis for our works. This study has enabled us to identify weakness on 802.15.4 Medium Access Control, in particular for highly time-constrained data transports. Our research works propose to solve these identified weaknesses by proposing an original full deterministic medium access method. Several validation methods/tools were used: Petrinets, simulation and prototyping. Obtained results are then exposed and discussed.
