Des armes aux urnes, Processus de paix et réinsertion politique des anciennes guérillas en Colombie et au Salvador

Abstract : In Colombia and El Salvador, internal armed conflicts have not been concluded by military success of any actor. Political and militar dimensions of these conflicts interact mutually and determine the possibility of a negotiated resolution. Peace in both cases has been possible by process that recognize guerila demobilisation and political reforms. These "insurgent transitions" have concluded to a peaceful political scenes, where former armed actors are nowadays political parties. In El Salvador, this process is successful : the armed conflict is now over, and the FMLN is nowadays a political party. In Colombia, this process is a partial and temporary : the initial political success (a new Constitution in 1991) is eroded by the posterior intensification of the armed struggle.
