Méthodologie de dimensionnement d'un système de récupération de l'énergie des vagues

Abstract : This thesis works are concerned with a pendular wave energy power take off in high power (about 1 MW) (SEAREV). They have been conducted for an optimal design of the energy conversion chain (electromagnetic generator and power electronic converter). For this purpose, different coupling hydrodynamic - mechanic - electrical- control have to be taken into account, in a context of fluctuating sollicitations. Thanks to a collaboration with the LMF from Ecole Centrale de Nantes, we get hydrodynamic models, and thus we developped a design methodology for the electric conversion chain on complex cycles. Different control modes of the pendular system have been studied and compared, especially the optimal damping control with power limiting, which allows a best electricalchain design. This work leads to the determination of the pendulum and machine torque and speed profiles, allowing the design of a radial flux surface mounted permanent magnet electromagnetic architecture. The results are mainly presented in the form of Pareto fronts : active part costs / energetic losses on cycle. Sensitivity studies of some parameters (machine and resource) have been led and analysed in order to conserve a critical look on the results.
