Application à la simulation numérique d'une torche à plasma.

Abstract : The aim of this thesis is to develop numerical tools for the simulation of plasma torch.
In the first part, a 3D finite volume method on unstructured meshes is built. This second order method uses a multislope linear reconstruction. We prove its stability with respect to the maximum principle. Its simplicity is put forward and its efficiency is shown using numerical tests. Finally it is used in order to compute the inviscid flow in a torch chamber.
The second part is devoted to the study of highly pulsated compressible hot jets by direct numerical simulation. The use of high order schemes for time and space discretization is justified. Boundary conditions are described in order to prescribe large perturbations at jet inflow. The Reynolds number increases when environment temperature decreases, so that numerical simulations are more difficult to handle.
