Etude de l'impact des fonds d'ondes gravitationnelles sur la polarisation de la lumière

Abstract : We study the effect of gravitational waves backgrounds on systems such that the physical information is described by the polarization of photon. To do so, we build the eikonal approximation on a curved space and consider the evolution of the resulting objects on a gravitational waves background. We formulate a geometrical formalism allowing to build the physical observables associated to an optical system, and to evaluate those observables in terms of the gravitational perturbations. By this way, we show that for EPR like systems, the effect of gravitational waves is to weak to destroy the quantum correlations, which imply that such systems can be used for long distance spatial communications.
