Abstract : We study the deformation of a droplet by electrowetting. The geometry of the drop near the three phase contact line, essential to fully understand the phenomenon, raises questions. This work gives some theoretical and numerical answers. With a shape optimization model we prove that the contact angle is independent of the applied potential. Numerically, thanks to an existing code, we give the macroscopic shape of the drop. As it is inadequate to visualize what happens near the contact line, we follow two main ideas. First we improve the approximation of the singularity of the potential near the contact line (singular complement method). As we want to visualize a local effect, we modify the global model and extract a new differential local model. It allows us to make precise the shape of the drop at a given potential near the contact line. We give precise calculus of the curvature and observe the invariance of the contact angle.
