Aide à la décision pour la conception préliminaire de procédés d'évaporation flash.

Abstract : Flash evaporation phenomenon is characterized by partial vaporization of the liquid fraction of a fluid (turbid or not), causing the cooling of the non vaporized fraction of this fluid. This work is devoted to the development of a decision support tool for the preliminary design of a two-staged flash evaporation process. This tool is based on the implementation of a formalization approach divided into three stages.
Analysis and Structuring of the design problem (first stage) aim to define and select the relevant elements needed for the design problem solving. The selected elements affect the modelling of physical phenomena related to components behaviour (condensers, droplet catcher, vacuum pumps, etc.). They also concern technical, economical and environmental criteria. Formulation and qualification of the models obtained (second stage) lead to the expression of a Constraint Satisfaction Problem (CSP) expressed and adapted to decision support context and tools. The qualification step of the model describing the physical behaviour of the process has been carried out starting from experimental results obtained with an instrumented pilot unit. Numerical processing of the entire design problem (third stage) is carried out using a CSP solver.
This solver allows the solving of heterogeneous problems (variables defined on continuous or enumerated fields, equalities, inequalities or logical rules). The different design problems handled in this work prove to validate the formalisation approach by leading to efficient technical solutions regarding energy or environmental levels. These solutions offer a significant reduction in the size of the installations and allow the optimization of resources exploitation, materials, energy or water.
