Les apports d'une analyse didactique comparative de la résolution des équations du second degré dans l'enseignement secondaire au Viêt-Nam et en France

Abstract : This research presents a comparative didactic analysis on the teaching and the training of the algebra in the two educational systems: in France (grades Third, Second and First) and in Vietnam (grades 8, 9 and 10). The objective of this research is to study certain choices of the teaching of algebra, to identify certain institutional constraints and the effects of these constraints on the acquired knowledge of the pupils related to an object of knowledge "the quadratic equations".
In the parts A and B, we place ourselves within the framework of the anthropological theory of didactic to study the institutional relation in position of pupils to the object "quadratic equation" by making an analysis of the programs, official texts and textbooks in the two institutions. This analysis allows us to characterize the existing praxeologies in the textbooks of each institution.
In the part C, we present the results of a common experimentation in both institutions concerning the type of task T: "Resolve, algebraically, a quadratic equation to an unknown". We characterize the personal relation of the pupils to T by the determination of the techniques implemented and technologies which generate and justify them.
In the part D, based on the results obtained in the three previous parts, we carry out a comparative analysis of the personal relations of the pupils to T, on which we have conducted our experimentation in the two institutions and we determine the impact of the various institutional choices on the personal relations of these pupils. Last but not least, we present the major results gained in our research and the possibilities for further studies.
