Maîtrise et intégration des coûts dans les projets de conception aéronautiques.

Abstract : This thesis deals with cost management and integration inside new aeronautical products development. Through the study of Design to Cost (DtC) practices (name of the method used inside some companies) at Airbus and Eurocopter (two aeronautical companies that belong to EADS group), we define three types of issues linked to cost management within the projects lad by these two companies: issues linked to Design to Cost skills, issues linked to project constraints and issues linked to relationships between DtC actors and project actors. We propose to solve some issues linked to DtC skills by implementing knowledge management within the DtC process. Methods and tools linked to Design to Cost process can be divided into three classes: target management, cost saving opportunities management and reporting process. We experiment our proposals on cost saving opportunities management process. We propose three tools. The first one is a modification typology that enables to characterise each cost saving opportunity through a description of its associated modifications. The second one is a cost driver list that identifies the main parameters whom modification can influence the cost of a sub-system. The third proposition is a model that supports past cost saving opportunities reuse: OSIRIS (Optimiser for Saving Idea Reuse and Information Sharing). Our proposals have been validated through a prototype tested by actors belonging to the Airbus Design-to-Cost team.
