Etude des méthodes de conception et des outils de CAO pour la synthèse des circuits intégrés analogiques

Abstract : Design high performance analog integrated circuits suffered many difficulties, especially from the trend toward low supply voltage and low power consumtion driven by the proliferation of portable devices powered by batteries. And endure the lack of CAD tools to automate the layout phase, which still consume considerable time. This thesis adddresses two different but complementary topics, design of low supply voltage analog integrated circuits, and development of CAD tools to automate the layout of these circuits using optimization algorithms. The first part of this thesis proposes, a new design method dedicated for designing low supply voltage analog integrated circuits. The second part, presents our contribution to the automation of the layout of analog circuits. Our detailed study on all analog constraints need to be respected by anay automatic layout tool (Generator, Placer, Router, Compactor) in order to meet design specifications. Our contribution to the development of CHIRVAN (automatic layout tool developed by CNET Grenoble dedicated for analog/mixed-signal integrated circuits). And finally, the optimization algorithm we propose to solve the problem of placement of analog cells, based on the analog constraints we defined earlier.
