L'évaluation de l'activité Internet de l'entreprise : une application au secteur du tourisme français

Abstract : This research addresses the question of assessing the Internet-related activity of the firm by relying on the Strategic Alignment Model and the Resource based view. Following a contingent approach, the conceptual framework sheds light on the coherence between Internet use, business, organization, technologies and competences.
The research model is applied to the main companies of the French tourism sector. The selected methodology combines a qualitative exploratory approach based on interviews and a quantitative confirmatory approach based on the analysis of a survey to which 131 firms have taken part.
Among other things, the results suggest that there is a particularly significant relation between the coherence of organizational designs and the Internet-related performance of the firm.
