Utilisation des progiciels - identification d'obstacles et stratégies de formation.

Abstract : How to produce documents that are legible and readable for a human reader is the aim of the users of word processors. The study of the evolution of unprofessional software in word processing reveals a growing complexity. Contrary to the current widespread idea that a word processor is easy to use, users (publishers and readers) are faced with recurrent problems. The analysis of what was produced by a number of users of diverse versions of Word processing gave evidence that the abstract objects were not properly used. Abstract objects are not commonly used, often disregarding their function of hierarchical and semantic structuring. Putting in perspective the factors related to craftsmanship, economics and technique in what creates this system, shows the necessity to go from the study of "word processing" to the study of "processing words". This new approach leads to suggest other orientations of research in the elaboration of school curricula.
