Abstract : A new methodology of Compact Thermal Models (CTMs) extraction for the electronic components is proposed in this thesis. The originality of this methodology summarised by: taking into account of the thermal behaviour of electronic components containing several chips or heat sources, several cooling surfaces, and representing the non-linear properties of materials, while keeping a simple and recurring structure of generated models. This methodology aims also to generate dynamic thermal models; this seems possible because of the simple shape of thermal network of the model which is based on "star" network. The precision of the star network is improved by using variable resistors related to the heat fluxes so that the compact model can adapt automatically with boundary conditions. Moreover, the proposed method makes it possible to obtain CTMs with a limited number of measurements or 3D thermal simulations. In addition, a study based on the 3D distribution of the heat flux is done in order to propose some solutions to make the generated models more precise. The extension to the dynamic mode is achieved by the means of three different techniques.
