Pb5Al3F19 : relation entre structures, propriétés ferroiques et transitions de phases

Abstract : The compounds Pb5Al3F19 (M = Ti, V, Cr, Fe, Ga) undergo a ferroelectric-paraelectric transition. The association of Pb2+ 6(sp)2 lone pair and small size of Al3+ leads to several crystallographic distortions leading here Pb5Al3F19 to the following phase transition sequence : ferroelectric -> antiferroelectric -> ferroelastic -> paraelastic. Structural determination realised at several temperatures have allowed us to determine the origin of these properties.
