Modèles d'information et méthodes pour aider à la prise de décision en management de projets

Abstract : The growth of cost, time and quality constraints, and of project complexity make visualization more and more difficult, and so the understanding of what happens and what to do. From incomplete and not reliable information, and under a constant pressure, it is difficult today to make reliable decisions, especially in project elaboration, which may have important consequences on project success.
The research work, applied by PSA Peugeot-Citroën, gave the following results :
- creation of a project framework, which identifies objects that constitute a project and its environment, the interactions between these objects, inside a project, or between projects or between projects and other entities, and the internal description characteristics of these objects,
- description of three basic operators for project elaboration, which contribute to rationalize project design methods,
- integration of these information and methods in a unique frame that:
o formalizes an information not always available before, on the interactions that everyone has with his direct environment, and on the characteristics that describes everyone's situation,
o structures this information in a standard way, allowing interactivity and graphical representation fitting in one screen (A4 format),
o helps decision-making : by bringing more information, more reliability and methodologies for execution of decision-making processes in project elaboration, like decomposition, assignment and planning. Decision-making process becomes more reliable.
o Puts people in relationship and creates exchanges, even networks that allow to study influence chains and contribution chains, which contributes to decompartmentize the services,
o Allows to better evaluate impact of a change or a decision, by visualisation of chain reaction initiated by the identified interactions,
o Allows to share representations and perceptions between people, in order to benefit from the richness of everyone.
