Etude des phases Li1+x(Ni0.425Mn0.425Co0.15)1-xO2 en tant que matériaux d'électrode positive pour batteries lithium-ion

Abstract : The Li1+x(Ni0.425Mn0.425Co0.15)1-xO2 (0 < x < 0.12) positive electrode materials for lithium-ion batteries were prepared by a coprecipitation method. Their structure and physico-chemical properties were characterized by diffraction techniques (X-ray, neutron and electron), by XPS spectroscopy, by magnetic measurements... Overlithiation (Li / (Ni+Mn+Co) > 1) leads to the presence of extra lithium ions in the transition metal site. A v3.ahex. x v3.a hex-type superstructure similar to that observed for Li2MnO3 was evidenced by electron diffraction. The electrochemical properties and the structural modifications observed upon cycling were investigated for these compounds. For the Li // Li(Ni0.425Mn0.425Co0.15)0.88O2 system, a voltage "plateau" at 4.5V/Li was observed; it was associated to irreversible structural changes involving a cationic reorganization within the slabs and an oxygen loss with lithium deintercalation.
