Commande et supervision des procédés discontinus : une approche hybride

Abstract : The presented work belongs to the field of control and supervision of discontinuous processes. A control/supervision system, particularly developed for batch processes, is proposed. The work is turned towards a global approach of real-time aspects of such production systems control, in a hierarchical and modular way. Original points are on the one hand a new control architecture and on the other hand a process and control separated modeling in which hybrid aspects of each model is tackled according to the respect of the discrete and continuous "worlds'' identity. The architecture which is proposed is organised around two local area networks: a field bus of continuous nature, in charge of all the periodic data flow, and a cell network of discrete nature, dedicated to the sporadic flow of messages between the control/supervision system elements. The interface between the world of continuous state variables and that of events is ensured by an Event Generator. As the need of a model taking into account both discrete and continuous aspects at the supervisory level has been pointed out, the system model results of the combination of two formalisms. Petri nets are used to describe the discrete aspect, and algebraic-differential equations to represent the continuous one. This system model is broken down into three views: a discrete view describing the control strategy, a discrete view corresponding to a qualitative representation of the process state (its configurations), and finally a continuous view associated to each of these configurations. The consistent evolution of this structure, based on events, is assured by the models cooperation whose interactions are clearly defined.
