Outiller les Enseignants et les Elèves de Lycée Professionnel pour former des Acteurs Ergonomiques

Abstract : An action research to accompany a new curriculum in ergonomics in vocational schools has got us to carry out an evolving research. This research had two purposes :
— specify a typology of "ergonomical actors" by characterizing in which working conditions, how and with what results, limits and constraints, people who are not professional in ergonomics can use a part of the ergonomical method
— characterize longitively the training situation and developmental process which are necessary to develop such ergonomical competences.
The ergonomical training program structured by ergonomical professionals was delivered to two kinds of vocational teachers. They had to learn conceptual and methodological ergonomics contents, to do exercices in classrooms and especially to practice an ergonomical "micro-intervention" in a work situation, so that they could themselves contrive the genesis from concepts, purposes and artefacts (then tools) they will have to teach. The characterization of the ergonomics training situation they had then structured, showed us, that what they taught their students, reflected what they learned and used themselves : they produced different problem situations before asking their students to use the ergonomical method during their probation period in an organization.
Different analyses about the trainings and practices from teachers and students, have shown us the effects of their respective trainings on their competencies development, the obstacle they both cleared, which functional property from ergonomical contents they choose to use and how, and finally, what kind of ergonomical practices they could develop, in which work situations, with which results, limits and constraints.
This training helped equip these populations, in order to understand, analyse, explicite and act on training and work situations as "ergonomical actors".
The implication of institutional and local politics is nevertheless indispensable so that this process can continue.
