Extraction d'étoiles standard pour l'étalonnage en flux de l'instrument SNIFS dans l'expérience Nearby Supernova Factory

Abstract : This PhD thesis contributes to the SNfactory experiment, a precise and complete survey of nearby type Ia supernovae. Nodaways, these objects are actually known as the best standard candels for cosmology and thus are of great interest. The whole work has been done at Institute de Physique Nucléaire de Lyon (IPNL), in collaboration with other French (LPNHE, CRAL) and American (mostly LBNL) laboratories.
This work supplies the calibration of the Supernovae Integral Field Spectrograph (SNIFS), SN factory's dedicated instrument. A study of the CCDs has been performed, as a collection of reference spectra for the flux calibration. The main contribution consists in a complete code for the punctual source (standard star) spectrum extraction form a pre-calibrated data-cube. The method chosen lies on PSF (Point Spread Function) photometry, necessayr here due to the small size of the observed field. The lost flux is thus estimated, and the measurement quality is in accordance with the experiment's goals: around one percent of error on the measured flux.
