Commutation de la réponse ONL quadratique dans les matériaux moléculaires.

Abstract : Amongst the nonlinear optical properties, the second harmonic generation is one of the most studied. The introduction of molecular switching might enlarge the application areas of NLO materials.
Our thesis work consisted in finding new possibilities of NLO switching with help of DFT and ZINDO calculations.
The commutations by chemical process were studied in the case of protonation of nickel complexes, which induces hyperpolarisability rotation and partial oxidation of functionalized tetrathiafulvalenes.
The commutations by physical process were envisioned in the case of spin-crossover of iron(III) complexes, temperature effect on acid-base equilibrium of stilbenes derivatives and finally conformational change of a chrome complex and a diorganoboronate compound.
