Etude de nouveaux matériaux d'électrode positive et d'électrolyte solide vitreux sous forme de couches minces pour des microbatteries au lithium

Abstract : The miniaturisation of electronic components involves a strong demand in power microsources. Lithium microbatteries are well adapted to these applications. This study concerns positive electrode and solid electrolyte materials used in lithium microbatteries
developed by the company HEF. Thin films were prepared by magnetron sputtering. X-ray diffraction, Auger and Raman spectroscopies studies of TiOySz films allowed to determine the effect of the sputtering conditions on their structure, morphology and electrochemical properties. Thick, dense and high sulphur content thin films exhibit the best cycling capacities. This work would allow to transfer the synthesis process from the laboratory to the industrial scale. A more theoretical subject concerns the use of a glass forming tendency index to predict the behaviour of electrode materials during a lot of lithium ions insertion.
Finally, vitreous thin films were sputtered under nitrogen atmosphere in order to nitride them and to develop a new solid electrolyte for all solid state microbatteries.
