Mésodynamique et rupture des composites 3D C/C sous choc : une stratégie numérique dédiée

Abstract : The work presented is done in collaboration with the Centre d'études de Gramat. The objective is to provide reliable numerical tools of prediction of the shock behaviour of structures in 3D C/C. For loadings about a few microseconds, a modeling on the mesoscale can simulate the principal experimental observations. The numerical processing of a such a model in dynamics leads to problems of important size. We develop a mixed domain decomposition strategy by interface, iterative, global in time and space, parameterized by search directions which should be optimized. The constant search directions are the simplest but not at all effective for strong non linearities. The choice of variable search directions is more complicated because the operators are no more constant. A conjugate gradient algorithm is used and optimized to reduce the number of iterations. The method is validated in an 1D 1/2 example. The case of a 3D calculation is also treated thanks to the use of parallel computing.
