Nouveaux verres et vitrocéramiques transparents dans l'infrarouge pour l'imagerie thermique

Abstract : The synthesis of an innovative material transmitting light from the visible to the long infrared region was realised by the alkaline halide introduction in the GeSe2-Ga2Se3 system. The possibility to obtain glass-ceramics with controllable crystal size and keeping a very good transmission in the IR is demonstrated for the first time. Reproducible crystals of 100nm size, permit the increase of the resistance to fracture propagation of glass-ceramics. The possibility to combine ceramisation and the shaping of glass-ceramics by moulding process is checked.

In order to increase mechanical properties, ions diffusion experiments are realised. The ion exchange depth reaches until 15 µm. The diffusivity rate was calculated according to temperature treatment. Changes in the surface refractive index the possibility of anti-reflection coating or planar waveguide applications.
