Conception et réalisation d'un modem radio COFDM dans la bande des 2.45GHz pour des applications à forte mobilité

Abstract : This PhD thesis work concerns the design of a wireless COFDM modem suited for the ADVANTEN company applications.
A study of the propagation channel and the OFDM modulation is presented in the first chapter.
In the second chapter, synchronization and channel estimation techniques are given. The control of these techniques is necessary in order to guarantee the good working of our wireless modem in the disturbed propagation channel we have to deal with. A solution suited to our needs is selected and parameterized in this chapter.
In the continuation of the study, channel coding algorithms are compared. We show how the wireless link quality is improved by using them. Convincing simulation results are presented.
The Peak-to-Average Power Ratio problem related to OFDM signals is exposed. An innovative solution to reduce this ratio is proposed.
Finally, we give in chapter five some results obtained from the carrying out of the RF electronic card.
