Abstract : We consider the stability analysis and the stabilization of uncertain linear systems with constrained control. Using a polytopic model of saturations and the notion of local quadratic stability, we first propose a stability analysis method allowing saturation. Then, geometric properties of ellipsoids and polyhedra allow us to describe several design methods respectively based on saturating control, piecewise-linear control and polynomial control. All these methods systematically rely on efficient and widely spread numerical tools: algebraic Riccati equations, linear matrix inequalities and polynomial matrices.
