Quelle dynamique du lien social pour "faire oeuvre" sur Internet ?

Abstract : This thesis aims to explore the conditions and processes at work in an (emerging) network of pre-professional learners in a virtual community. The virtual setting is a learning platform within a higher education establishment.
The thesis firstly deals with the real life challenges which lie behind the (often) idealised image of social links as they emerge through the medium of technology. It then presents the conceptual framework of processes at work in these online emerging social structures: these processes may operate at both collective and individual levels. The methodological approach is specified (ethnological approach), factors contributing to the emergence of learning communities are described, and a critical evaluation is proposed of methods of evaluation and the teacher's role in this learning situation, where the latter is both organiser and evaluator of community phenomena which are often informal and self organising.
