Abstract : This thesis deals mainly with design of FBAR based integrated SiGe BiCMOS RF blocks for WLAN 5 GHz application. Contrary to the current techniques encountered in the industry, which consist in the realization of the filters and resonators and associate them with transceiver circuits at module level, our resonators are directly implemented onto the IC substrate using Above IC integration. The integration of the FBAR directly above the IC chip eliminates the parasitic and the modeling issue associated with the bond wires. This above IC integration allows also to suppress the interface and matching circuits that otherwise would be needed in the case of off-chip filter. This allows to reduce the total circuit area and the power consumption. Two FBAR filtering LNAs and oscillators intended for 5 GHz WLAN IEEE 802.11a are implemented by using this above IC integration. Compact and state-of-the-art circuits, particularly the oscillators, are obtained. Moreover, SiGe integrated LNAs and LC VCOs for 5 GHz WLAN are presented and their optimization techniques are outlined.
