La notion d'intégrale dans l'enseignement des mathématiques au lycée : une étude comparative entre la France et le Vietnam

Abstract : The first part of this work is devoted to a comparative study (between French and Vietnamese upper secondary classes) joint with a historical study (evolution of the teaching since the seventies) on the theme of integration: these analyses allow us to formulate a first set of hypotheses and questions about (dis)similarities in the institutional relation to the notion of integral in French and Vietnamese teaching.
In a second part, in order to enrich the institutional comparative analysis, we accomplish on one side a study of final exams (French and Vietnamese baccalauréats, Vietnamese competitive exam to enter university), and on another side an analysis of the preparation of French and Vietnamese teachers about their courses on the integral, through an epistemological survey.
This part leads us to the description of a Mathematical Organisation of reference on the theme of integration. It also serves as a source of questioning on specific elements of the knowledge to be taught in the Vietnamese institution: the instrumental and semiotics “valences” of the ostensives  et dx in integration methods and the institutional contract about the area calculus.
In the last part, we focus on the knowledge actually taught in Vietnam, under the constraints and conditions drawn out in the preceding parts. Therefore, we analyse answers of students to tasks in rupture students' answers to tasks in rupture with the institutional contract regarding area and integral calcul, official papers from the baccalauréat 2005 and finally naturalist observations report at the time of revision.
