Meta-modèles et modèles pour l'intégration et l'interopérabilité des applications d'entreprises de production

Abstract : Systems integration consists in assembling the various parts of a system while ensuring the compatibility of the assembly as well as the correct operation of the complete system. Since the Nineties, enterprise systems integration has been a key challenge; and has emerged as a research topic developed by several research and industrial teams in the world as much as initiated many work within international scientific organizations, in particular IFAC and IFIP, and of standardization bodies, particularly IEC, ISO and CEN. Within this framework, systems interoperability is a means to approach integration, founded on a weak coupling of the parts of the system, and based on the capacity of these parts to communicate between them to reach and to share their functionalities. More recently, during the last decade, a new approach coming from software engineering was elaborated: model driven engineering (MDE). In this new approach, models take a central place among systems engineering artefacts. Indeed, these models must be sufficiently precise in order to be able to be interpreted or transformed by software tools, while being linked to systems engineering methods. The central role of models in the development of systems interoperability capabilities is of particular interest because the engineering processes needed to develop systems interoperability are usually based on model exchange.

This research dissertation is studying models for systems interoperability, and more particularly of enterprise systems, centred on product model representation. To improve the quality of these enterprise models and their relationships, the research project proposed in this dissertation aims, in a context of systems engineering applied to systems of systems, to define, extend and formalize the processes needed to model enterprise systems. It aims to develop a strong integration of the applications, by taking account the knowledge, which is generally not explicit, of the actors of these systems. This proof of concept, related to the formalization of models knowledge, is based on the definition of the ontology, as well as the mapping of modelling concepts, and the transformation and the exchange of models, allowing the enterprise applications integration and thus ensuring a coherent information flow between all actors. They thus require making explicit the modellers' (and operators') tacit knowledge on the processes (and thus models) for which they are responsible or author.
